How I Changed Today

Today, I realized my change.

Today I went on a hike with two pals I’ve known a while, and five more I just met today. It was about a 10km round trip, and we had just 3 hours to do it.

Seems okay right?

Wrong.

Well how could it be wrong and how did I change you may be asking yourself. Let me tell you in a short poem.

Buntzen Lake, a beautiful place.

The clouds a silent omen.

It’s beauty rained down, as cool droplets on my vision.

A plan made; a hasty decision.

We toured around the lake, beginning at a good pace.

Single file. Two by two. We marched with grace.

Cameras shutters flared.

Selfies were shared.

Buntzen Lake, a time in space.

As time wore on, we took our time to walk.
